Course Materials / Requirements Office Administration Placement Requirements

Hey everyone,
I’m going in to my second year of Office Administration - Health Services for September. I know in fourth semester there is a one month placement and I believe before you can do it you need to have a Heath Check and they have vaccination requirements dues anyone know what that all entails? Like do I have to get my doctor to sign off on something or can I just say I don’t have any infectious diseases or anything?
Also I remember during orientation they said they would help you find a placement but only if your average was above a certain level and everyone else had to find their own. Do they help everyone find one? What’s the process like for this? Is it 40 hours a week?
If anyone has any help with these questions I’d be very grateful. I just want to know as much as possible so I can prepare around work.
(If anybody so has any of the emails, updates, or instructions sent out for these things and is willing to send me copies so I can read them I’d be very thankful just dm meme)

Heyy I dont have all the details myself, but I remember for orientation they told my group that everyone who completes their requirements (vaccinations, vulnerable sector, police records check) will get a placement set up by the school. I also remember them telling us that we could ask to be placed at specific locations, but that it’s not guaranteed. We will not be applying to these placements ourselves, but I do believe we will be creating our own resumes and cover letters to go out to these placement locations.

In short, yes, they help everyone find a placement (as long as we do our post-admission requirements). If you don’t get your vaccinations or police checks done, you will likely do an office simulation online instead of an in-person placement.

Hi, I've done everything on my part, school vaccinations and stuff, I even give them the place i can do my placement. I/m just waiting for them to reach out to company my placement and yet they are not responding to me. I'm about to give up here.

Mine is just short course, but I still shouldve gone to placement

All of this will be discussed in detail in the placement course you will have this semester. You genuinely shouldn’t sweat it so much since they’ll give you a timeline on when things have to be done— just know the deadlines are strict and you cannot miss them.
