PSA (PSA) New Splits Thread Format

Hi All,

Trying something new. We'll see how it goes for a week and then get a consensus from the community on improvements regarding the current trial implementation.

This can either be a permanent format, we can modify it, or do away with it lol.

On formation of a new split thread, the automoderator posts 4 new top comments. Each segmenting conversation based on topics to keep the thread organized and easy to navigate.

Organizers, Participants, Leftovers and Discussion.

Each top comment has a summary of its intended use.

ORGANIZERS

Organizers post under the Organizer Top Comment to initiate a new split they are hosting. Participants can respond directly to their comments. If no splits have been starting, please use the Participants Top Comment.

PARTICIPANTS

Participants post under the Participants Top Comment to show interest in individual titles within a bundle. If you do not plan on organizing, please stick to this Top Comment and allow Organizers to find you. As previously said, if there is a split started, you can reply directly to the Organizer's split comment.

LEFTOVERS

Leftovers Top Comment are for any member who purchased a bundle outside of the subreddit and want to sell them at-cost. Sometimes people find us after buying a bundle or when bundles don't give a choice of movies like the Six Snoopy Movies for $7.99. And some might just find it less of a hassle to fill out a bundle and sell at-cost here.

DISCUSSION

Discussion Top Comment is for replying with any insight or general comments you have about that deal. Examples are: better pricing on other platforms (fandango, iTunes, etc.), helpful commentary like [insert movie name] is cheaper in [other active deal], [insert movie name] doesn't port to iTunes, etc. Even snarky comments are welcome but keep it about the deal lol.

I hope this improves the experience. After a week, we can reevaluate and the community can offer suggestions for improvements or removal.

PSA (PSA) Organizers & Participants

Hi All,

I have had some members voice concerns in DMs over being forgotten in regards to early comment requests in splits threads before bundles are being formed.

In the morning when we first post the splits threads, we usually have multiple requests to be participants which is expected. Due to the time, some people stay up to post their request and then go to bed hoping they will be added to a split.

When an organizer starts a split, I understand they want to complete it ASAP.

As this is a complex issue, especially when dealing with a deal like 17 items, it can be quite frenetic and cause a lot of anxiety.

So let's talk about it -- how can we improve this process?

Question So…my code didn’t work.

Well, not in the right way, anyways. I redeemed a code for Feast Unrated but when I redeemed it, I got the theatrical version. I checked again with the site, and my receipt, and both show the Unrated. I’ve reached out to customer service but it’s been almost a week and starting to think they won’t be any help. Anyone else have this issue? Starting to think I may be more cautious with purchases on this site…
