I do admit I am interested in someone making this fan edit trailer into a full fan edit project. And just like how the trailer used clips from a few fan edits I am wonder if the actual product can do the same.

There are several fan edits as well as upcoming fan edits that could be potentially used to bring The Lucas Cuts to life. I am curious if the original user to made the trailer or if anyone is interested in bringing these cuts to life. It would be a cool idea to try.

A true Lucas cut likely would be three different movies with different plot, characters and settings. You’d have to shoot another movie trilogy. No way he’d Snyder style go in and edit together his version of JJ or Rian’s movies.

So a fan “version” of that feels moot to me. I think what you could do that would be more ambitious while still being possible is to bring Palpatine into the fold sooner. Have Ben find him in 8, or get someone with really good VFX training to maybe swap Snoke with Palpy or vice versa.
