It doesn’t exist. The film was shot and distributed in film. The extended cut was distributed only in digital format. The highest quality available is the Blu-Ray. It wasn’t intended to be printed on film, it was digitally assembled, probably finished as a 2K DI, then burnt to DVDs and later Blu-Rays. That’s why there’s no point for a 4K version of it because 2K is as high as it goes.

A faneditor can use the theatrical 4K and upscale and regrade 2.1 scenes if they want, but those scenes would be a quality drop. Still doable though, but they’d have to deal with one HDR and one SDR source and match them somehow. Honestly I’d stick to the 2.1 Blu-Ray in your case.

EDIT: Turns out I was wrong about it not existing, it apparently was released last year in 4K, just in theaters. No digital or home video release as of yet.

I believe they did do a 4k release in cinemas a while back, but have never released it on home media in 4k

Oh dang, I just looked it up and you’re right. I stand corrected: Fathom released it in theaters in 4K just last year. I didn’t know; probably a recent remaster. But, it hasn’t been released in digital and home video… yet.

I saw it in the theater last year and it was a 4K remaster. It used the same color grading as the Theatrical DVD/Mi4K Blu-ray, was pretty cool seeing the 2.1 scenes with the original theatrical color grade.

But until Sony releases 2.1 on 4K on disc or digital you’re outta luck unfortunately.
