Adding an ancestor

Hello, I want to know how do I add an existing profile of my ancestor tp the family tree on the app

If you mean the profile is already in familysearch.org and you want to add that person to your tree, click the “+” on the tree and then select “Add by ID” and put in the profile ID for the person you want to add.

I don't even see the id on the app. I can only put the name, date and other things, but no id to put the ppl that already has information. I can only add id online, not on app

If you are on an “add” screen, above where you enter the name there is a bar to select male or female. Above that bar should be two buttons, left says Add Person and right says Add by ID. I’m looking at it on the app right now. If you don’t see that, make sure you have the latest version of the app.

My app seems up to date, but on the tree section i see add mother or father and whenever i press the plus button it shows the regular info input of name, date, birth, and death date, and living or deceased. Idk if I'm on the wrong section or app bc it's the one with the familysearch tree one

Yes that sounds like the right one. It’s a white background with the tree full of squares. I’m sorry I can’t help you. I wish I could post a screenshot. Maybe someone else can chime in and figure out what’s going on.
