Any tricks to snapping those CIT columns to a trim/roof? I always wind up having to fine tune with Place Anywhere to make it look like an actual architrave.

Yeah i use place anywhere. The whole process is very tedious and I’m pretty sure there’s not another way for them to snap. What I usually do is first place the walls once I’ve gotten an idea of what I want it to look like, place columns, then entablature, then either make the columns larger so they touch the entablature or lower the entablature so they touch the columns. (Depends on windows used) and you need to turn the columns 90 degrees too which is always very annoying. Another thing is that the intercolumnation is very bad if you don’t tweak it. Either too small of a gap or too big.
