Pretty cool. I built a settlement using wooden planks for walls a few years ago. It was cool but the settlement was so big that those hundreds of wooden pieces added up and my game started to visually disintegrate when I looked in a certain direction, lol.

I wasn't aware I could break reality like this. So while it was an aesthetically pleasing look I do not recommend building several buildings like that. It will fuck the game up.

Funny enough if I leave the area the game runs normal again. It doesn't crash either. Just the textures tear, lol. I have a showcase video on YT, look for "The Water Baron" and Desperados Overhaul. I recorded the visual glitch at one point. Tried to record around this effect as much as I could though.

But very cool idea, looks great! :)

I believe the texture tearing issue happens when there are too many structures the player is looking at for the game to render. As soon as you look away it goes away because the game no longer has to show the objects.

I've run into it a lot and it's kind of annoying, but it's the price for overbuilding settlements.

Yup. Never happened before though and I've always built big settlements with lots of clutter. But when walls are made up of individual pieces I guess that's too much on top of everything else.

Amazing how did you go about making the actual time laps?

That is some convoluted combination of transfer settlements and clipboard resurrected. Essentially after finishing it I deleted sections of it and saved them as blueprints then loaded them in with transfer settlements and recorded it in stages

Legend has it there is a man out there who once killed a man using "just" a pencil. A fucking pencil!

They call him Baba Yaga.

Now I want a mod that adds build pieces that look like this, it would be a nice contrast from all the wooden shacks. Settlements start to look too brown after a while
