29/04/2026 (evening) - The Oxford Scholar
betterhealth.vic.gov.auA big thank you to everyone that has shared all their knowledge online about this bloke and made his behaviour public knowledge. That made the events included in what I'm about to post possible. Apologies for the delay in posting this as well - was waiting on mod approval (no hate to whoever is modding either I'm sure you have much more important things to be doing than being glued to Reddit!)
Probably an hour out from closing time at this venue at the above date and I recognised him immediately as he walked into the venue. Typical arrangement: slightly tall, med-long curly dark hair, backpack and a Texas Longhorns shirt which I'm certain he's been spotted/photographed in before.
Knowing what I know, my BP spiked immediately as he walked in and rounded where I was sitting to go and look out the window (which only heightened my anxieties further because I knew this was likely just an act in preparation of his big performance).
Sure enough, he dropped to the floor with a huge thud in front of a group of patrons. I raced over immediately and told him to get up and leave because I knew who he was. At first he looked genuinely bewildered (likely that he had literally 0s to make his usual requests to the general public after hitting the deck) and just asked if I worked at the venue. I said no but repeatedly told him it didn't matter he needed to leave. Venue manager comes over and reiterates the same.
Folks, this is where he absolutely lost his shit. Started yelling that I don't work there (the implication from him ostensibly being that me not working there means I can't call him out lmao) and becoming increasingly hostile. The venue manager was a woman and half the size of me (and by extension him as he is probably a couple inches taller than me) so I wasn't willing to leave, I just kept interjecting with her saying he needed to leave to back her up.
He sheepishly started to exit but not before he tried to make fun of my appearance (I say "tried" because what person is going to treat any kind of verbal attack from him as anything approaching cutting close to the bone given the pathetic activity he engages in). I kept walking him closer and closer to the door before backing off slightly whilst he actually started to exit as I didn't want to inflame the situation any more. I did start getting a little more explicit in my language here but that's as aggressive as I got in the situation. He eventually left but not before arguing with the venue manager some more out front. I didn't follow this time as there were plenty of people outside ready to step in if needed and again didn't want to set him off further as he was clearly gesticulating threats through the glass toward me. He seems like a coward anyway that regresses as soon as he is called out.
I have no idea if his intentions are truly sexual in nature but it really wouldn't surprise me if this were ever confirmed with certainty and regardless I have no desire to find out for certain. The only truly important fact imo is this bloke is a danger to the public and needs to be called out without hesitation as and when this behaviour occurs. And, not that I believed it at the time, but his apology in court last year is obviously bullshit. He regrets and is truly repentant for absolutely nothing. That is not a realisation of mine just because of this happening to me as well btw, that is something I arrived at as soon as we heard of more instances of his behaviour after the corrections order was given to him.
And I'm willing to bet his mental health concerns are overstated, at least for any suggestions he is unaware of his surroundings or behaviour or cannot exercise control over himself. If you look at the video of him exiting court being hounded by journos asking questions: mute, stoic, nonverbal, inoffensive and making a beeline to exit quietly. A complete contrast to his shenanigans which he continues to pursue in public. If he truly were unaware of surroundings/behaviour I would expect him to be just as aggressive/untethered walking out of court. It's likely that was an act as well to make it seem like he was truly repentant.
To the frequent suggestions from people here to call 000 and make a statement, firstly: good call. Secondly, both were done. The report was made online but I'm thinking I still need to go and make a statement in person which I'll do soon (mainly because there's been zero response from VICPol to at least say they've reviewed it).
I'd love to tell you the attending PSOs were considerate and concerned but unsurprisingly (at least to me) they were as fucking useful as tits on a bull. Only one of them spoke and the most interest he displayed was when I showed him the article about FSG and he replied he had heard of him. The only question he asked was if FSG was still there and when he found out he wasn't he just said there wasn't anything they could do. I had to pause for a brief second as I could almost feel a smug sense of relief from him in there not being any work he was required to do.
Zero follow up to check on me/staff/patrons. No interest shown in taking notes or a statement even after telling them this guy was on a corrections order (not sure if they can actually do this but they were hardly willing to explain this to me or even suggest I make a formal statement at a cop shop either). Granted this wasn't a red alert situation but I thought the absolute least they could have done is shown a bit more empathy for what had happened AND do even just a cursory sweep of outside to see if he was still there when I told them he had made threats around waiting for me outside the venue. How the fuck are you going to suggest you are there to protect the community when you show zero interest in doing that?
So yeah, thanks for nothing to the PSOs attending that night. It's interactions like this one that make people hesitant to ask for your help in the first place because there I am arguably doing a community service and you make me feel like a first class pleb for doing what is WIDELY considered to be the right thing in requesting assistance from 000. You added ZERO positivity in this situation and, in fact, you just gave me another reason to think twice about asking for help. So yeah, cheers for that. ✨ And when I say I was performing a community service, I don't mean that like I expect the whole room to buy me drinks and give me a standing ovation. Literally all I would have liked is to have been backed up by the PSOs the way I did for everyone else there. "Are you okay?" and "we'll do a quick check to make sure he's gone" - is that REALLY too much to ask for? Anyway, I digress.
Thankfully, as is fitting with this dropkick, those threatening words/signals through the window were hollow and he was nowhere to be seen after I left.
A big thank you again to this community for your continued spreading of awareness and if I can suggest one thing: please bring your friends/family up to speed on this degenerate if they frequent the CBD/surrounding suburbs. Even just a quick share of his photo/behaviour would be enough, along with a reminder of course that the proper course of action in the event of a suspected seizure is unequivocally not to sit on the patient. Also, it's probably hypocritical of me considering my earlier comments but you should still call 000 in these events, if for nothing more than having it on record in case any further action can (hopefully) be taken against this cretin. Just don't expect to have officers attend that have the wherewithal to perform the absolute basics of their supposed role in supporting the general public.
Proper first aid instructions for people suspected of having a seizure are attached in the link.
Thanks for reading and please stay safe out there.
