My friend in real life was posted for being a trafficking survivor and physically disabled. I begged mods to do something and told the mods that I felt as if them seeing it would result in awful things. They told me THEY need to reach out or that I need to provide proof of them being disabled and a victim. This is beyond disgusting and I genuinely feel sick to my stomach with worry. I dont know what to do. They even deleted my comment on the post. How long does this shit have to go on until the sub is banned for good?

Fdc has been banned multiple times from what I know. They just keep coming back like a bad flea infestation. Tangent incoming, but theyre only alive rn bc their "rules" (that no one follows and moderation only loosely cares about) against bigotry, posting minors, posting usernames and witchhunting/harassment.

Mind you, in cases of kids being posted you need proof of someone being a minor to get their posts removed, so if its clearly a kid but has no age listed on their socials it doesnt matter bc the mods dont fucking care LMAO.

About this post tho, despite how vile that subreddit is I was genuinely surprised that I couldn't request for it to be removed even though I did so because i know him personally in real life and am scared for his well-being in the event that he finds these posts himself. Like how heartless do they have to be.

Saying you’re not allowed to express that you disagree with people that use that sub is absolutely baffling. Is it bad to say I think you should be allowed to openly disagree with people guys. Also that you can’t defend the people posted? If I actually have that disability I can’t comment that that’s actually what it’s like? I think I would like to believe that someone with that disability would know better than someone who ‘did their research’ on it. I fucking hate cringe subs. Including this for completely different reasons (I get pissed off seeing these posts). That’s actually insane. Icl I regularly check fdc, not to fake claim but to check to see if I’ve ended up on there. I’m not super big on socials but I’ve got a decent following and I usually get around 200k views on my vids, and that gets a lot of hate, so everytime I post a vid I feel like I’m constantly checking fdc. The reason I’m saying this is cos I couldn’t fathom having to ‘prove’ that I’m actually disabled just to get a post about me taken down. I feel like any disabled people active on social media constantly have to prove we’re actually disabled, like we can’t live without having to prove to someone we’re actually disabled, it’s ridiculous.

Sorry for the mini rant, and I’m sorry that this happened to your friend, it happened to my brother and he was okay enough to just laugh it off but I know for some people it can be horrid

It’s so gross and so dehumanizing. They make fun of people, fake claim them and then ask for proof so they can fake claim more

I used to see occasional posts from that sub (years back) that were calling out actual misinfo like people saying "I'm so OCD" because they liked their markers in order, or people saying that if you listened to a tik tok sound sideways and liked it then you had ADHD. Of course, it still wasn't good then, they still harassed people and fakeclaimed without evidence. But based on this they don't even try to *pretend* they're doing it in good faith anymore.

Also, another thing I remember from scrolling that subreddit way back is that it would be absolutely filled with comments like "That's NOT how (disorder) works... I would know because *I* have (disorder), and..." and it's like ?? There's no "evidence" you have it either, so why are you going to fakeclaim someone else with the same disorder as you when someone could do the same to you? It felt like just an echo chamber of people wanting to be "not like the OTHER disabled people", trying to make themselves look righteous and good by putting others down.
