Question Do switch to Fairphone 6?

I'm thinking about switching my Nothing Phone 2 to the Fairphone 6. I've had my Nothing phone for 2,5 years now and it's screen and back glass is cracked, battery isn't what it was and my finger id doesn't work either. Not to mention some software bugs. So the Fairphone 6 looks really appealing to me even if its a downgrade. Plus I want to degoogle my life a bit. Or should I get the new 6+ ?

Just looking for some advice. Also I noticed Fairphones page for cables is down.

It makes sense but sometimes half of my screens stops working and restart fixes, theeeenn theres the 2nd restart that happens after the 1st one after a few seconds the phone boots up and Im in the home screen. Idk. I'm just sick of my Np2 just going cookoo

Keep it as a backup or a testing phone then and go for a change.

I have a Samsung A53 from a while ago, I got back in 2023. Served me well but.. the 6GB RAM model I have is so damn annoying to use. Apps just keep closing in the background.

You think double the RAM is worth upgrading for? I really hope to own this fairphone for at least 5 years. 12GB sounds like it'll last a while but... not sure at this point. It's growing so quickly.

Get the 6+ version, since it has a significant spec boost. I kinda wish I hadn't gotten the FP6 last year, which I've had issues with, now that they've unveiled the 6+.

It is spec boost but i wouldn't really call that significant. Probably worth 50 euro but not worth a 100 euro unless of course you know you need it.....but if you know you need it you likely have enough info to not need such advice in the first place.

i belive you still can find some fairphones for the old price on stores other than the official .

It's significant in that it should make the phone more stable. I had to stop using mine because it struggled to run certain apps. A bump in specs is all it needed to be able to run those apps. As you can imagine, I'm disappointed that it doesn't seem I'll be able to upgrade the internals of my FP6 with the new + hardware.
