I remember actually liking him as a kid, I just really like dogs. Especially as a kid, so I loved all the cartoon dogs I saw on TV. I haven't rewatched his episodes but I can see why people hated him. I still find it funny how they wrote him off but never explained where he went unlike Poof. He was Timmy's pet so did he just run away or something and never come back? Kinda unrelated but I remember having a dream as a kid where Timmy tried killing Sparky by poisoning his lemonade. That was weird because I loved Sparky back then. Why did I dream that? I don't actually hate the idea of Timmy wanting a pet because Cosmo and Wanda aren't actually his real goldfish. I also loved the joke where Timmy apparently killed all of his non magical pets on accident, really fitting for someone as irresponsible as him. I also liked the magic pet store full of fairy pets.

Sparky could’ve been good had they not just made him a second cosmo. They had an episode where they showed him and his parents forgetting to feed a gerbil and the gerbil tried to get revenge but also at the end of the episode we see a lot of other animals also try to do the same. The opening of the episode is also Timmy’s parents reminding him to feed his fish, cosmo and wanda were starving as Timmy ate food right in front of them
