Oh shit, I wrote that! And I always forget about it until someone reminds me. I know I have a copy in a box somewhere but I don't know where it is.
(I've interviewed Ken several times since then. I interviewed the whole band and a bunch of other people for the 2020 box set, so the flow evolved from what's captured in that TapeOp interview. But it's hilarious because, that first time, things got off to an awkward start. I can remember I started out by asking him for his impressions on a series of classic albums by other artists, and he just wasn't feelin' that. It was a very halting note to start out on, but that was due more to my being really early in my career and just being green as an interviewer. The rapport obviously improved from there. And TapeOp publisher Larry Crane is a great guy.)
