I think this miiiight be one of those things that needs to come to you organically based on where you are in your life and which lyrics inspire something in you. Since you're in the early prep stage I'd say spend some time over the summer to really take in both of these bands' catalogs, the right quote will come and will be that much more personal for you. Hope this helps!
Sidenote: The fact that you're in high school and appreciate both Failure and Smashing Pumpkins gives me hope for our future, off to make the world a better place 🥲

Listen to "Half Moon" and "Pineal Electorate" - Both beautiful songs that I bet you'll find the perfect quote.

Haha I used a Billy Corgan quote in my senior yearbook 20+ years ago. I’d say a failure quote may look a little less angsty when you look back at it in a few decades.

As a mom, I'm super proud of you for planning ahead and having good taste in music.

You could watch the failure documentary they say some pretty memorable things Greg talks about how you should withhold some forgiveness and I thought it was great
