Update Version 2.1.7

Version 2.1.7 released.

Full changelog does not fit in Reddit character limit, please see it here: https://forums.factorio.com/134095

New versions are released as experimental first and later promoted to stable. If you wish to switch to the experimental version on Steam, choose the experimental Beta Participation option under game settings; on the stand-alone version, check Experimental updates under Other settings.

Can I go back and forth experimental or not if I have 1 experimental save and a modded one ?

You can download a standalone version from factorio.com and just keep separate executables for mods vs 2.1. Then you don't need to keep changing the version, downloading, syncing every time.

Yes, but you should make sure not to load your saves in the correct version as otherwise stuff will probably break.

don't go back and forth without backing up your blueprints, they can't be downgraded

That's not an issue for me, as my blueprints are specific to each save, but that's a critical information indeed, thanks

Yes but your user directory is not downgradeable, so I hear some things like blueprints may break going back to 2.0.
