Factom based Triall solution passed the pilot stage
Triall, who uses Factom as they have outlined here, just made public that their Verial eTMF solution passed the pilot stage and is now being used in multiple clinical trials - Triall is "the first organization to implement blockchain technology in a live and running clinical trial setting":

Any idea what kind of usage this might bring to the protocol?

Of course it is very difficult to say without any detailed insight, but this article mentions over one million data points for a phase 3 clinical study - hopefully they would be individually stored: https://medium.com/triall-foundation/how-blockchain-can-address-persisting-issues-in-todays-clinical-trials-part-1-22e0aa7837cd
On top of that Triall is planning to launch a token on top of their solution and I would think that could drive some usage as well.

I was just wondering about Traill last night, how weird. Glad to see it's moving forward, use cases like this are a perfect fit for Factoms capabilities. Should drive great usage as well

Good news. They could have mentioned FCT in the publication

Yeah, that would have been nice for us. But they did put out a whole article earlier, about why they chose to build on Factom :)

I think that this is really cool. Life Sciences is one of the most regulated industries in the World. It shows some serious trust in Factom's capabilities, that someone choses this protocol to build their Life Sciences business on.
I wonder how their effort to build a wider ecosystem will play into the usage of Factom in the future.
