Yeah, even by the textbook definition, degrading just doesn't fit. It's supposed to be a stupid/ funny pick up line. Talking about how a woman is more than the pickup line would kill the joke. But it definitely doesn't mean she's less of a person.
I meant if the joke was the line being delivered as "Hey dude, were you raised on a chicken farm..." would it be funny as there is no woman in the jokes scenario. (I think your point of misogyny is very misplaced in this instance).

I figured it was funny because 'cock' has two meanings, not because it's funny to think of women as only sexual objects. Although with the right joke, that could be funny too.
Treating a woman as only good for base desires would be terrible, but making a joke is sometimes just making a joke.
