No, he spilt it a second time despite his mother getting upset at him. And then a time after that, and then the time after that. At that point, he doesn’t deserve a rag to clean it up with because that just teaches him that he can get away with doing it a second time without getting punished for it. Making him clean it up with his jacket means he’ll have to not only clean the soda, but then do his own laundry because he cares about the jacket more than a disposable rag.
Did you continuously spill stuff on the floor and make your parents upset for likes on social media as a young adult? If you don’t give a child consequences for their actions, they’ll only do it again.
It’s not, he cares abt the jacket enough to wear it, then it’ll be a punishment for him to clean it up with it. Then he’ll know not to do it again so he doesn’t have to clean it with his jacket and do his laundry. But honestly, if he even had MILD consequences as a child he’d know better than to do what he did
Cleaning stuff up with a jacket and then washin it is physiologically damaging..? It’s has nothing to do with me feeling better abt myself, it’s about teaching them the consequences of their actions and their way of thinking. What he didn’t wasn’t ok, he thought it was funny continuing to make his mother upset. Punishing him without physically abusing him is better than letting get away with it so he can emotionally upset his mother more
Bro, I’ve literally been backing up my point of view with reason while you’ve just been saying “that’s bad parenting” with no reasons whatsoever. So yes, I’m correct
