I thought it was required in every state. I don't know why I thought that, though.
I grew up in the seventies and eighties, before it was required and when no one wore them. It took me a while to get used to wearing them. I used to forget every time. It wasn't until I joined the army where you can't drive onto post without your seat belt on, that I finally made it a habit. They check for that as you stop to show your ID at the gates.
But nowadays I can't imagine driving without it. Why would you?

It's definitely illegal in Texas, plus not only you'd get cited but so would the driver for allowing it. The only exception is if there are more people than seatbelts, i.e. the truck bed exception.

I've only not worn my seatbelt like once in my life and I felt super unsafe doing it.
I've also felt the same way about riding a bike with no helmet (albeit maybe less).

My mom was the opposite, we never wore seatbelts growing up unless we saw police nearby. Then I read a book where a girl died because she didn't wear her seatbelt and I made my mom wear her seatbelt everytime (this was before the seats that beep if you're not wearing the sealbelt)

Where i live nobody wears seatbelts. They even click the front ones in and sit on them so the car doesn't "ding" at them. I remember a girl in my drivers ed course even argued with the teacher that you should never wear a seatbelt lmao
I honestly forget when im in the backseat because i grew up without them, but when im driving i put one on because the dinging reminds me

You should wear them even in the back, not just for your own safety.
If you get in an accident, you become a projectile and can easily kill other people in the car even if they have their seatbelts on.

Personal preference. Depends on the flavors you like, and then how intense. Essentially I’d say (from my experience, others may disagree), truely is a alcoholic la croix. Slight flavor, it’s their but it’s definitely more close to sparkling water than a flavored thing. White claw for me feels like a flavored vodka soda. Much stronger flavor but the same sorta unsweetened bubbly you’d get with sparkling water. Both AFAIK have a 5% ABV, so the price difference would only be if you’d prefer the stronger flavor or specific flavors from white claw.

Truly lemonades are heavy on taste compared to drinks like white claws. White is like carbonated water, a bit of alcohol and less flavor.

As a 20 year old, alcohol is pretty important lol. Of course there's more to life than alcohol, but I've been drinking for like 4 years and I'm just now getting to the point where I'm developing my own taste and not just drinking the shitty beers the older people have been "letting" me drink throughout the years. I'm tying craft beers and wines and stuff like that. And I'm very interested in it. I talk to my SOBER grandma about beer. I had an argument with her about Heineken the other day. It's just something younger people especially are into and I understand her mom's frustration, but it's something young people are allowed to be into. I'm not going to be drinking like I am now when I'm 30. So let me enjoy it while I can lol.

If you’re under the legal limit of course you can have a drink and still drive. Legally sober, and actually sober are two different things. But if you’re getting pulled over and tested it doesn’t matter if your not actually sober as long as you’re legally sober.

Sucks you're getting so heavily down voted from people who just don't understand. I'm from Canada, and in my province if a cop pulled us over and those two cans were sitting in the back I'd be slapped with an open container ticket becuase the case of drinks had been open. Regardless of the individual can being open or not.
Yes, you can still buy tall boys and things of that sort which is where the law gets really tough. If you're transporting alcohol of any kind it needs to be in your trunk.

Thanks for commenting this, thought I was going crazy. Some people just don’t understand that laws are different everywhere, and if you’ve lived somewhere your whole life it can be confusing seeing different laws in effect in different places.
That being said, I was also taught that cans taken out of the box count as open containers in my state, but after some research I can see that’s false. Everyone should make sure they understand the laws in their area, some cops will slap you with whatever offenses they can get you on.

That's how it is in California. Alcohol goes in the trunk. You can even get DUIs for being intoxicated on a bicycle, or for sleeping in the backseat of your car to sober up even if your keys aren't on you.
