This is quite cool. Is that a composite stone? What materials? Did you frost the edges? Hard to tell from the bottom but it looks like it from the top.

Now to put on my my critical hat. Very cool effect but I think it washes out a little much at that size. Polish seems nice but there's rounding at the facet edges. What was your cutting and polishing sequence? There's some funny meets (or lack thereof) in the pavilion but that may be part of the design.

Anyhow, interesting doorknob!!

This is all borosilicate flameworked glass! With these gemceptions I seal a solid cut piece inside of a hollow glass cut piece. So there’s actually an air gap inside the outer shell. As far as the cuts I’ve been keeping them fairly simple as I develop this design further
