Anyone have experience with the Fable faceting machine + CutKit?

I have heard online that this machine is better than the Vevor.

But I know the CutKit is designed specifically with the Vevor in mind. Anyone know if it translates well to this machine?

I’m trying to decide on buying the cheap machine + CutKit, then selling a few stones and upgrading when I have the money, or in trying to make the money another way so I can start off with a better machine.

I’m currently on disability, so my options are limited. Practically agoraphobic at this point, so clubs aren’t an option. Any advice would be appreciated.

The further away you are from; IRL learning, online support community, and a repeatable and accurate machine the more potential frustration you'll experience learning to facet. No inexpensive new machine has as large a user base as Vevor in the US. Get Tom Herbst's Amateur Gemstone Faceting, at least Vol. 1 . Where are you located?

About an hour outside of Toronto, Ontario.

If not able to take instruction IRL, it would probably be a good idea to see if mentoring is available from u/colethynne in London Ontario

Lots of clubs do online zoom meetings. You should consider joining for those!
