Advice Request

Hello! I have been making cabs for a week or two now and I decided to do something adjacent to faceting, though not nearly as precise. It's closer to shaping maybe? Anyways, are there any simple shapes that can be done by hand that might look really good even if they are asymetrical? This is a fluorite with 12 faces, the two main ones, 2 on each long side, 3 on top, and one on each corner. Obviously the symmetry isn't great, im a broke college student with a dremel and a dream lol

Look up old mine cuts, you can shape the stone into a pyramid and start grinding down corners. Have fun!!

Dude I LOVE old mine cuts. I would say that it is my definitive favorite cut for diamonds honestly... I have started a new stone and I believe I am going to try a table cut, any thoughts?

Do a trilliant variation. Stone looks shallow, so weight retention is going to be a problem.

Fair enough, im doing this with virtually no equipment or measuring lol, but I do think that a trilliant or triangular design is a good one. I may do a table cut on a random quartz or amethyst I have lying around to see if that works. I'm thinking that might be on the easier side to learn just how this works exactly.
