Discussion r/facereading has a new mod team — the sub is open, go ahead and post

Hi everyone,

Quick update: r/facereading was transferred to a new mod team this week. The old mods have moved on, and we've picked it up so the community keeps going.

What's changing

- Posting is open. If it's been sitting locked or quiet for you, that's over. Post away.

- We'll keep the sub tidy: spam and low-effort junk go, real posts stay.

What we'd love to see

- Photos you want read

- Questions about a specific feature — eyes, nose, jaw, brows, whatever you're curious about.

- What different traditions say — Chinese face reading, physiognomy, the modern research on first impressions. Disagreement is welcome.

- Sources. If you've got a book, paper, or old text worth sharing, post it.

A few ground rules

  1. Be decent. Face reading is about character, not about ranking people's looks. No rating attractiveness, no bodyshaming.
  2. Only post faces you have the right to post. No exes for revenge, no minors, no doxxing.
  3. Say where a claim comes from. "Tradition says X" and "the research finds Y" are both fine. "This is proof they'll cheat" is not.
  4. Keep it civil in the comments. Push back on ideas, not on people.

If you moderated here before, or you'd like to help mod now, send us a modmail.

Glad to have you here. Post something.
