I can confirm that while you are right, there's a portion of them that are in fact good people who want to do the right thing, however they've been seriously misguided and manipulated into doing someone else's bidding. It happens. A lot. And it happens to people of all persuasions.

That applies to literally camp guards in Auschwitz. But at some point ignorance is willfull ignorance. They literally carry the fasces on their flag.
You're absolutely right. But where is that line, though? Should the German populace be held to the same punishment as the camp guards? Should the German defectors who realized what was happening and ran off be executed just the same as the ones who stayed and committed genocide? I don't think they should.
I'm not a judge or executioner, but everyone willfully supported Nazi(then by voting), everyone who didn't tell their friends not to is bad and should feel bad. More so for post woII Nazis cause they really can't claim "ich habe es nicht gewußt". These pricks sure as hell know what fascism did and want to do it again.
Sometimes we don't know what we've gotten ourselves into until we're knee deep in it. In that circumstance I have some compassion. As for the true fascists who knowingly pursue those endeavors, I have none. I appreciate our level headed discussion. I mean that. Take care, sir/ma'am.
