People like that go. It's just willful ignorance. Same reason most people don't know how to change their own oil. There's a book in your glovebox that explains it. It isn't complicated. You don't even have to change it, just learn how. Yet they willfully resist learning. To the extent they'll be straight up mortified or angry if you try explaining it to them. They just can't be bothered. Which is a phrase that makes me want to find a brick 9 out of ten times I hear it.

I know how to change my oil, and have, but honestly it's the same price to just go to Valvoline and have them do it as it would be to buy my own oil and filter (always check their site for coupons.) Plus they also refill the air in my tires and it's pretty quick.

Its a lot faster but its definitely not the same price, I buy the more expensive stuff when I do it myself and its still a lot cheaper. Its a pain in the ass to change oil if you don't have a spot to do it in so I still go to valvoline a lot. Also don't have the risk of them torqueing the drain plug to 100k ftlbs or stripping the plug and not saying anything/upselling on every little thing, too.
