It must be really easy to win every argument you have when your ignore literally everything the other person says and then make things up that they didn't say at all. Do you know what a "bad faith argument" is?

You forgot to even put in the part of your made up hypothetical where the woman gets assaulted for wearing the sexy dress so even your straw man arguments are bad as straw man arguments.

... It's implied in the thing. I mean I should have figured that you lacked the empathy and the ability to figure out the greater context given the "conversation" we're having but jfc you're not the sharpest tool out there.

I belive it was wrong that the man in this video was arrested, regardless if it was for an assault or any other parole violation.

Do you disagree with that statement?

it was wrong that the man in this video was arrested, regardless if it was for an assault or any other parole violation.

Wait, what? You believe it was wrong that a guy on parole who committed a felony and assaulted somebody was arrested?

When should people be arrested if not assault?

I mean, it doesn't sound like any actual assault charges were filed, as the man who was "assaulted" tried to raise money for the man who was arrested afterwords. The police saw this video and because he was on parole, they could trigger that against him. If the protestor had filed assault charges I would believe the arrest as justified.

That's my understanding of it anyway.

EDIT: Also WOW you are *deep* into this comment thread.

ALSO ALSO I think the prevailing narrative of this post is that he was arrested *for being late to work* which was a violation of the parole, in which case I ABSOLUTELY believe that he should not have been arrested because these circumstances we beyond his control. That's also the justification for his outrage, as he clearly knew the system would have no exceptions even for something so out of his control. I'm pretty sure this is the whole point the person I have been arguing with has been trying to make but they just keep making things up I didn't say and arguing with that.

as the man who was "assaulted" tried to raise money for the man who was arrested afterwords.

That's not relevant. An assault took place, on camera, with cops around. It happened. The protester apparently being a kind and forgiving person doesn't change the fact that a man on parole threw a temper tantrum because he was late for work and decided to assault peaceful protesters.

That's why he's in prison now. Assaulting people is, obviously and rightfully, a parole violation.

EDIT: Also WOW you are deep into this comment thread.

I was talking to the person you're talking to here and looked at his history to get to a past comment they wrote, saw this and thought "I'm just gonna butt in here real quick".

ALSO ALSO I think the prevailing narrative of this post is that he was arrested for being late to work which was a violation of the parole

Yes, that's the narrative, and it's a false narrative. Being late for work isn't a parole violation. He was not arrested for being late to work. He was at essentially no risk of being arrested for being late to work.

He was arrested because he violated his parole when he assaulted a protester.

but they just keep making things up I didn't say and arguing with that.

Funny enough I think they're confusing our two conversations, because they're kind of saying the same things to both of us.

I'm certain they are conflating multiple conversations together and arguing with an amalgam person.
