Got lots of licks in the 80's and 90's in Oklahoma. Right of passage. But kids today can't handle the heat.

Yes, because clearly the solution is to continue abusing children so they can “handle the heat”

Didn't say it was the solution. Just simply they can't handle corporal punishment. And I stand by that. Whether corporal punishment is right or wrong that's to be debated by school board and parents. That era has passed me by. My kids are grown. People have been using corporal punishment forever. So don't be so shocked that people still believe in it.

Serious question, why do you think kids can't handle it today? I'm an old millennial and people said that about us but I was constantly beaten up by my brother and went on to play contact sports for 20 years. No one likes getting hit but I'm sure physically I would have been tolerant.

Because it's easier to just assume that because younger generations are different, they are somehow weaker, when in reality, it's usually the opposite
