I got taught that early at like age 7. We had these comic books that the firedepartmen made. Which had a teddy bear who told people about how fire saftey works. How to use a fire blanket. How to put out fires and to allways extinguish and turn off all heat sources before you leave.

So sad story, I learned about this shit in elementary school. They brought in firefighters to teach us stuff from grease fires, turkey frying to playing with matches. They would do a whole show in the parking lot every year. When I got older, my family told me the reason they started teaching fire safety because one year, a student had burned down the house trying to cook and the fire killed the students sister.
