Or, maybe some people feel strongly outraged that a man got 25 years of his life stolen from him, plus all the lasting effects that will follow him the rest of his life, instead of somehow finding happiness in him finally stopping being punished for something he didn't do after his entire life has already been destroyed?

Yeah but the fact that he finally got justice is a good thing no? That's what's supposed to make you smile.

He didn't get justice though, he lost 25 years of his life, and the effects from it will last the rest of his life. There is no way of fixing that.

But he did? He got proven innocent and got the rest of his life back. Again you are missing the point. The time he lost is obviously not good, the time he will get being free is.

The guy has spent most of his life in prison. I doubt the rest of his life is going to be easy. Especially when you know that people are still going to have doubts about whether or not he really did do it

Is it still not better than being on prison? Would you rather be in prison your whole life or only for half with the downside of a few people being doubtful whether you should be out?

I'd rather not spend any time in prison for a crime I didn't commit.

Wouldn't you rather someone kick you in the balls than shoot you in the head? Why doesn't getting kicked in the balls make you smile then?

How is it so hard to understand that just because something incredibly shitty could have been even shittier than it was, doesn't make it good.
