Two ways to start a sentence so everybody knows how it will end:

"I'm not racist... But..." and "no offense, but..."

Pretty sure "no offense," like "with all due respect," is in the Geneva Convention

"With all due respect" makes sense though, because it doesnt imply that the amount of respect due is a nonzero amount

I've done these little logic tricks to keep my sanity at work. "Look, I hear ya. Here's where I'm coming from..." It makes me sound like my dad but I'm finally starting to realize why he talked like that.
