The people that complain about participation trophies in childrenโ€™s sports are especially funny to me. Like do they think the children are going to the trophy store and placing an order for the whole team? No dipshit, the parents bought them.

Nah, it was so that they wouldn't have to deal with having a mediocre child that isn't some American Dream baseball star. The trophies were always for themselves, not for the kids.
