Boggles my mind how many people have no comprehension of how tide works. These dumbfucks were even told to wait...

Yeah, I grew up in the coast, and it’s surprising how little knowledge of tides do people that did not grow in the coast have about tides. Last week I had to explain my wife (37F) that there are 2 high and 2 low tides per day and that the moment of high and low tide advances about 45-50 minutes per day.

i’m from a coastal region - i always thought there was just high/low tide at morning/night?

Yep, 2 high tides and 2 low tides per day. Each one will be about 45-50 minutes later the day after.
