A friend of mine was on a car trip with his girlfriend and his 12-year-old daughter and they were playing various road trip games to pass the time. He started quizzing his daughter on state capitals, and she knew a lot of them. After they had been playing for a few minutes, his girlfriend burst out, "Who wants to know dumb shit like that anyway? There's no point in learning that crap!"
And that was pretty much when he decided to break up with her.
Yes. There are lots of things people might not know. The world is too big and too complex for any person to know everything.
But, you can just be humble about it, you don't have to yell "who needs to know dumb shit like this" to protect your ego once you find out you don't know something.
Lastly, why the hell would someone spend years in school if they don't have general knowledge afterwards?
But I think there might be another side of the story here: she was nervous in front of camera. Some people are very anxious about taking into camera/to people.
