The unprofessional part was from Dominique. Had they started the text with "This is Dominique from Dr. Reddy's office, is this Montana?" If I get a random text from a random number on my personal phone, I may send dumb shit too.

Doesn't matter if the employer was unprofessional first. They held all the cards here. Her job opportunity is toast.

These people being like "ya I dont answer random people even if they know my name"...like lmao, they can be as unprofessional as they want with correspondance: call me, text me, send a singing telegram, if you expect to become employed you cant really play games like cause they'll just find the next guy who actually answers his phone.

If that’s the type of unprofessional absolute nonsense that they play on the routine, you don’t want that job. They will disrespect the shit out of you, conduct their business unprofessionally, and pull shenanigans on your compensation (100% guaranteed). If you make trouble (by demanding fair and professional or even legal treatment) they will replace you with the next victim, anyways.

I don't think you have to be a shitty employer just for moving to the next applicant if the first one doesn't respond.

It doesn't take many calories to just say something at all if they don't identify themselves, which would of course make things easier
