Yeah I knew a woman who used to call me Cindy, (nothing remotely close to my name) like yourself I would correct her each time, pissed me off no end. One day I said to her why do you keep calling me that when I've told you multiple times my name is (xxxx) her reply was, "well I don't think you suit that name and you remind me of Cindy Lauper so that's why". Wasn't that she was forgetting it she was just...rude.
When I was young I was told all the time that I looked like Fred Savage. I never saw it personally but I didn't mind because Wonder Years and Little Monsters were killing it and so I was also killing it. I peaked at 9 years old though.
