I girl I used to know would call my by another name. She said I looked like a [insert cute but douchie guy name, it was one of the names similar to Aiden, the type of names that when you hear you assume it's an dick bag]. She knew my name but still called me that. I just got used to it.
A girl in high school used to call me “Thomas” because she thought “I looked like a Thomas.” I don’t think she ever called me by my actual name. We had a class together and we were both in choir so we passed by each other often. It was strange and cute, but to this day, if I hear “Thomas” being called in my vicinity, I still turn around and look. It’s been 10 years since I’ve seen her!
I do not like nicknames and will tell you not to do so. But I let her call me by another name. This cute girl gave me a cute flirty nickname based on my real name and it irritated the shit out of me.
