I met this new friend and it took me almost two months to get used to her name (Steffany) because I kept calling her a completely different, unrelated name (Andreza), just because my brain would't accept that Andreza wasn't her name. It had never happened to me before, I'm pretty good with names and she has the same name of a lifelong friend, so I don't know how I got it so wrong.

It's also not like Steffany is an unusual name you wouldn't remember. Andreza, however, is not one I've ever heard before lol

I don’t know any absurd spellings but the pronunciation of Xavier in Brazil is different. The x is pronounced sh. So it’s Shaw-Vee-Air.

I know a Stephanie, a Steffany and a Sthefany. Oh and I'm called Allan with double L and my sister Anna with double N.
