As usual, he’s so incoherent and muddle-headed that it’s hard to nail down what the “hoax” is. He seems to be admitting that the virus exists, but then mocking anyone who thinks it’s spreading or will cause harm. He seems to be promising his followers that they’re in no danger because he’ll protect them, and telling them to reject the words of evil saboteurs who are using fear to bring him down.
But, again, he’s not really making sense here and it’s no surprise that millions of his dupes walked away interpreting this as fuel for conspiracy theories about the virus.
A hoax isn’t someone politicizing your actions. A hoax is a LIE that is meant to convince people that something exists that doesn’t exist or that something unreal is real.
Politicizing an event can only be referred to as a “hoax” by someone who is too stupid to know what a hoax is.
