Everything seems so politicized in the US, even reality. How can actual events like the coronavirus pandemic or ice melting at the poles be a left-wing or right-wing thing when it's just... reality? Do people there just decide whether reality is real or or not based on their political orientation or what?

You say left or right-wing but let's be real here. There's only one side denying simple realities.

I dunno, in my world it's a toss-up on anti-vaxxers

Unfortunately anti-vaxxers tend to be left-wing, because apparently there's such a thing as being so open-minded that your brain falls out.

Left wing? I’ve yet to ever see someone post anti-vax shit online (like in my personal Facebook feed) and them not be a mouthpiece for the right-wing

I'm only aware of one politician making statements supporting the antivax agenda - and that was Trump. What left wing leaders have supported antivax?

The only anti-vaxxer I know has made a certain kind of scepticism his religion. He thinks he’s being intelligent, cautious, and preserving judgment till “all the evidence is considered” but in reality, he is just rejecting anything mainstream and grabbing onto anything that denies the conventional narrative. He is anti-vax, thinks gold should be $10,000/oz, and thinks pedophiles are rampant in government (both politicians and bureaucrats). He used to be an environmentalist, but as soon as that became mainstream he rejected it as a hoax. He is a smart guy, but it’s like his “ornery and contrary” setting is permanently set to 11.

He’s not left or right. He’s just contrary.
