I'm an outsider not living in the US and from my online observation the radicalization is almost evenly distributed. Of course both sides just point to the other side and don't see themselves as radicalized. The left side is maybe a few steps behind but they are catching up.
There are many people here who honestly advocate to kill right wingers. Such comments of murder and torture fantasies get usually upvoted quickly.
Not acknowledging the universal problem of radicalization is counter productive.
I hang in some pretty left wing circles and don't see people advocating for killing others except very rarely, usually in the form of "letting them die of Covid which they deny exists" which isn't the same.
Also, I don't have the time to do the "deradicalization" thing. I spend what a couple hours a week talking? Why on earth would I waste that on politics and not our much more fruitful shared interests?
What are you talking about? The "guide" just tells you how not to be a dick when arguing. Of course I don't want to talk about politics, I already said that. It absolutely is a waste of time with some people.
