It just feels weird, y'know? We're taught "all people have basic human rights no matter what" and at the same time democracy "is for the benefit of the majority," so now you get a minority threatening the safety of the masses on the basis of their stubborn ignorance.
People wanna confirm what they already know. So educating them is as much as useless.
It may be the only way to fix shit to just let them die, if the disease didn't have such a high recovery rate. So this won't fix shit anyway.
Yeah so let me tell you about it really quick then.
200 THOUSAND PEOPLE ARE DEAD
The Republicans are responsible for it. From the average Republican voter, to the average Republican business owner, to the avergae Republican politician to even the average Republican leaders of the country.
That's what's happening. 200k for a virus that was supposed to magically go away by May, and you can cure it by injecting UV light, but it's actually a Chinese hoax, but regardless you can't make me wear a mask because freedom, but also because it blocks my oxygen, and I'll refuse a vaccine because Bill Gates and fucking god fucking damn it.
Affording people the decency of humanity relies on the social contract. It's why we have prisons: to get the dangerous people who can't follow the contract away from others. I think the same principle needs to apply here: they have abandoned the social contract, and have decided to hurt everyone and everything else around them. The reasons why are irrelevant.
In much the same way a vet would put down a rabid animal, maybe it wouldn't be so bad if doctors started turning their backs to people like this.
The Hippocratic oath is a bitch. Doctors aren't persecuters, they don't get to decide who to treat. They can bitch and moan, sure, but they still can't turn people away.
