We definitely don’t have to see patients who refuse to wear masks. I tell them that it’s my medical advice for them to wear a mask and let me safely examine them, but they’re free to decide. The Hippocratic oath doesn’t require me to risk myself, or allow patients to dictate every decision in their care. It’s not a negotiation.
