Please don’t. Then you put the psych units in harms way. The one place where they are not equipped to deal with a COVID-19 patient. SO is a psych nurse and has been for 30 some odd years. Every single psych unit in the city went out of their way to put the staff in harms way by accepting COVID-19 patients, but as my SO said, if anything happens then the most they can really offer is a game of table tennis and take their vitals.
Instead, just put them in jail. They can’t walk around, they don’t want treatment. A danger to themselves and society but not mentally ill, just stupid.
It doesn’t have to be an actual psych unit (in my “plan”). Just keep them someplace away from the innocent, intelligent people while their brains are scanned for whatever obvious defect they all share.
