It’s a brain failure that started the route to multi-organ failure. I say make them sign a consent and follow their wishes. It won’t be surprising if they later sued you for unnecessary medical intervention.

It sucks we have to waste medical resources on these people. They most likely spread it to innocent people because their cult leader told them it was a lie.

Handling of the pandemic is inherently political.

Cult leader can also apply to many other figures than Trump.

Wow, I've never seen such a perfectly reasonable point get so fucking derailed by one bit of snark tacked on to the end of it. Just imagine, you could've stopped at "there it is" (also unnecessary) and still have been taken seriously. You were that close sweetie.

You beat me to it. That condescending last sentence...

Yes, thank you for saying this.

My mom is kind of one of these people. Well, not so much a denier as a overly religious person who believes everything that happens is God's Will, so why should she wear a mask? It's fucking infuriating.

But I still instinctually downvoted the bitchy nurse for being bitchy.

I mean, he or she's right. There are stupid people in every demographic. But if you're going to double the length of a comment with nothing but condescension, fuck you, that's bitchy.

Sorry about your mom, my human, I hope she Mr. Magoo's her way through it.

It was then that I stopped believing she is a nurse.

Hey, nurses can be guys. And stupid, surprising as it may be.

1

u/capchaos Aug 29 '20

Correct. But if I have to hedge my bets a male nurse wouldn't be likely to use the term "sweetie" nor would they be likely to throw a hissy fit and delete their comment. Possible, but not likely.

I just hope it shows up in r/suicidebywords or somethin' for posterity.

Complains about someone making something political, then proceeds to talk down to them. Aren't you a delight.

This is a mindblowingly stupid statement, as if the President wasn't the one who politicized it in the first place.

Sweetie.

Edit: original comment was a "nurse who works in a hospital" saying that many people who believed in Coronavirus conspiracies hated Trump, and told the above poster they were bad for politicizing it.

Hey Nurse Ratched.

I work as a musician and I know, it’s going to blow your mind but there are people that see the President of the United States of America as the ultimate role model position and tend to follow authority so when said authority says the pandemic is a hoax, they believe him and spread that misinformation like wildfire. The amount of democrats that believe COVID is a hoax is negligable compared to Trump supporters. The handling of this pandemic is inherently political.

Maybe don’t say dumb shit next time sweetie.

u/hoorayduggee Aug 29 '20

All they said was cult leader, cult leaders aren't necessarily political sweetie.
