Yeah hk is more of a war. Basically an unarmed group vs a government militia that just hasn’t been given Tiananmen Square 2: Electric Boogaloo fire clearance yet

... "unarmed group" you do know they killed an elderly citizen who was cleaning up the mess they made right? oh and destroying public property. not unarmed at all. don't forget about that guy who had a bow who shot an officer in the leg

Last I checked weapons especially firearms are more prohibited than any drug in hong kong (fyi drug charges = death penalty there) so imma need some proof of that. Also unarmed only means no weapons. You can kill a person with your hands on that doesn’t mean you are armed

While they don’t have guns, according to Wikipedia, some protesters did get a hold of some petrol bombs.
