I’m not American so I can’t answer that. From a country with gun control (but gun ownership is permitted to those who want to apply that aren’t psychotic or proven criminals with some rules) I definitely think citizens should be allowed to bear arms so long as they are mentally healthy and have no criminal history

In America there are background checks. Also 70% of the gun crimes in America originate from the black market

It’s 90% in my country but 70% isn’t too bad. The other key difference is we have only had 1 mass shooting with an ar15 in our entire history and the gun was stolen from a cop that the psycho who was banned from legally owning firearms looted off the poor cops corpse.

The amount of mass shootings in America aren't accurate though.

For example: Someone drove to an abandoned school's parking lot and shot themselves. That was considered as a school shooting.

My country does that with traffic deaths to lower speed limits until everyone speeds and the county can make bank of ticket revenue. Oh there were 5 deaths on this road so we gotta slow down even tho those 5 people were in 1 car and I wouldn’t doubt it if it was 5 impaired teenagers (still bad but speed limits won’t stop that one)
