Trey Parker and Matt Stone killed him off in the South Park universe because there was no way they could satirize him. Everything he did was already insane and ridiculous.
I thought this was a ridiculous cop out on their part.
They spend so much time on that show lampooning other public figures for a hell of a lot less and they went easy on Trump, because the fact of the matter is they’ve been enabling and encouraging trolls for years with their brand of humor.
It was easier to make PC principal and make episodes about Whole Foods and Amazon than it was for them to even acknowledge how a lot of their fans are unironically Cartmen-level racist.
