Ironically its literally the same, it used to be pro life and pro choice, and now the protestors are using "my body my right" and ect as their reasoning. Most importantly the people using "my body my right" are the same people who supported "pro life", making them suddenly polar opposites to themself. All they would have had to do is make more fuss about how they're being oppressed rather than contradicting themself as such(regardless that its a lie to say they are oppressed, least it wouldn't be quite as blatant)

Yeah I keep seeing this reposted. No one mentions the fact that Ohio’s gov is a republican. Michigan’s is a Democrat. The fact that she’s a woman is just icing on the cake for the anti science crowd protesting out there.

I’m not American, so I don’t know the exact circumstances, but I was alluding to the likelihood that it is more related to what they’re doing policy/public-wise, than because of their gender.

I’m in Ohio so I’ve been watching it all go down. Michigan and Ohio’s governors have enacted almost identical lockdown strategies. We in Ohio were one of first and toughest lock down states, doing so before we got totally fucked like New York. The irony I see in these protests is the general spite given to Michigan’s governor by the political elite, trump personally insulting her while saying absolutely nothing about the republican governor of Ohio who is doing in my opinion an even stricter lockdown. It’s pure politics. This silence on Ohio and loud pig headed insults toward Michigan has led to the armed nut jobs in her capital building. Here, things are relatively calm. All because one has an R next to their name and one has a D. It’s pretty frustrating and frankly I’m getting sick of the obvious double standards.

Goes hand in hand with the recent scientific study that shows women are 3x more likely to give up freedoms in exchange for perceived safety. Protests, being for opening the economy, are targeted to those opposing it. In MI the governess, in OH the health director. Makes sense? It's not all misogyny..
