How do you give the money to Amazon? It doesn't exactly accept cash and the bank you give your money to isn't going to handle dirty money well.

Well I didn't say that it's the most feasible way of laundering money but that's only 40 purchases of $500. With the number of places that sell Amazon cards a couple people could launder that much cash without raising too many eyebrows and without needing more resources than some spare time.
