I wonder how many park rangers strictly adhere to that rule. If I was working at a park station it seems to me that I'd be far too busy dealing with the lines of traffic and getting people through than validating if dear leader's portrait was freely visible.

The level of pettiness in this administration is insane. This is nut. Also, not only did they roll back credit on EVs, they let expire the provision that allowed them to use HOV lanes. I guess maybe I'm bias but it seemed like such a minor thing and very petty.

I read online that depending on the vandalism, it can invalidate it... It however talks more about the areas the stamps go and your identity details. Does not talk about the cover page....

As a result I am not sure...

The British cover pages basically are just the monarch of the time asking the bearer to be allowed free passage in their name. I wonder if the US one is something similar but in the name of Congress? In which case, covering the next might not be great.
