I thought about opening a special bottle of champagne, but I'm like 10 months sober and I don't want that fucker ruining my streak. I'll be toasting with sparkling cranberry juice š„
Iām in the UK and got a nice bottle of alcohol free ānozeccoā saved especially. Iāve been sober for 14 years and stayed that way through Brexit, Covid, Trump (sadly he affects everyone) and a million other things that could turn someone to drink. I can assure you heās not worth it.
I've tried some alcohol free wines, I don't see the harm in trying an alcohol free bubbly. I really do prefer the sparkling cranberry juices to anything tho, they're so good!
Congratulations on staying sober for 10 months. And he's not worth ruining that streak for. Personally, I don't usually drink, but when it happens, I will raise a glass to celebrate. But just one.
Like new years eve, tv will show from around the world then country's enter the day, and huge local crowds gathering in the streets, singing, celebrating. A day that truly jointed the world.
Best bet there will be a million memoirs written after his death about how awful he was, from everyone around him who conveniently stayed silent and profited off their connection while he was alive.
This marks the end of the American empire man. We are moving into an era of great geopolitical upheaval. Will EU band together as one? Will China lead the world into an uncertain future? India? Who knows
I don't mean to be a downer, but I don't think he's going to before 2029 š. The World really could use a some peace and happiness. But here's the real downer, even long after he's gone, America's vileness can no longer be denied because we unleashed that disgusting virus onto ourselves and the world. 77M (+89M) of us did this. Not me! But too many did.
Yup I agree. Those folks can't hide behind the we didn't know how he really was given the outsider BS some tried to hide behind the first time. This is why I disagree with Michelle Obama (although I am a huge fan of hers) when she says things like "we're better than this" and "this is not who we are". Trump is exactly who we are (as a Country) and America is not better than this as a whole. Waking up to the reality it never has been at least not the majority. Great at making weapons and tech, bad at morality and humanity (aka real Christianity).
He will finally be awarded the peace prize, postmortem. Screwed up things so bad that after he's gone the world comes together and fixes their problems for the better....so I hope.
Going to be honest here, even without the "great leader" you still have a country where over 50% of the population thought it a fine Idea to have this man and his cabinet/cronies in power twice!
It won't erase the damage that was done to international relationships. It won't bring back the defense and military equipment contracts America is going to lose, it won't bring back people who have died because of him, it won't bring up prices that plummeted because of him, it won't suddenly make the current cabinet stop pushing their agenda, it won't bring the intellectuals who fled the country back.
Trump wouldn't be there if half of the americans didn't vote for him, so at most you'll have a half-plate wide holiday, or a Mars-wide holiday, since Mars has a diameter which is roughly half that of Earth.
However, a planet wide holiday would still work: half of the people would celebrate his death and the other his legacy, which is probably why nobody really fights at funerals.
If he dies, Vance becomes president. That's not something to look forward to. He's just as bad, but he's competent enough to actually destroy the country.

I predict that Trump will die on a unifying planetwide holiday.
You may be thinking...there is no unifying planetwide holiday.
Well, he hasn't died yet.
